Their are no NPC in this game because the players take on the rolls of them. In a new world you will get some free coins in your mail box to spend how ever you like. They set up shop in the town for you to buy.
In a town you will find other players with different skills and some players use those for profit, Like cooking, sword and tool smithing, Mining Ex. Then you can choose a town or start your own town. You make your character and do the tutorial (Watch youtube vid for that) I got this game and fell in love with it.
