Firstly, consider his horrible movepool, which features ONE negative effect, which is a common Torture, Burn. However, all of these "Pros" are hugely countered by his Cons. And finally, he has low stamina costs on most skills. He has a decent Ally Double Damage + NER, which is sadly outclassed by, yet again, the large amount of Attackers that can NER themselves. Things like Possession, Freeze, Corruption, and others can render him useless. However, meta deniers have SO many other Control methods to deny him, due to his Trait, Stun Immunity. Another one of his pros are that almost ALL of his moves are spammable, meaning that he's basically immune to CDA. Or what about Ugluk? Not only does he have access to Life Removal moves that can deal massive damage against Tanks with stupidly high Health stats, but he also has moves like Battering Lizard, which applies Taunt Hater to himself(dealing Triple Damage against Taunt monsters), and ALSO applies Double Damage to himself! This means that when he uses a strong AoE move like Reptilian Ram, he can do 45(Base Strength of the move) * 3(considering Mega Taunt) * 3(Taunt Hater) * 2(Double Damage) = 810 Damage! If you use Firelequin with Ugluk, he deals 270 damage to MT monsters, which is pathetic compared to Ugluk by himself. If you're not using Beasts, you could try attackers that buff themselves directly like LazarBeam, who can use Smashing Keyboards to buff himself AND apply Magic Weakness Hater, allowing him to possibly deal 9 times the damage to any enemies.

Or you could use Surtur / Garuda to buff their Strength stat directly.

For example, you could use Beasts like Penghou that does his job without wasting a slot or relying on a TT monster. He's terribly outclassed by most other buffers. You might think that doing TT-Firelequin-Strong Attacker would be a good setup, but it's not. He has the ability to buff his allies with Damage Boost and Double Damage, allowing them to hit like trucks.

It's not easy trying to be two roles at once, and Firelequin sets an example of how exactly NOT to do that. Firelequin is a stupidly terrible Fire monster that fails at being an Attacker or Support.
